We began our design with explorations of interlocking shapes and different materials.
Exploring shapes with simple 1 module systems. Here, we created a truncated Icosahedron with 20 identical equalateral triangles. We experimented with different materials for different light and shadow
effects.
We then continued to explore the concept of interlocking 3d polygons with an emphasis on triangular shapes. Here we have an icosahedron created with 20 triangular prisms.
From here, we placed one shape within another to create a unique layering effect on the light.
